This was fun! The instructor was super knowledgeable and accommodating. I'm vegan and avoid using beeswax and the instructor was very willing to stick to soy wax to accommodate this.
I learned a lot and had a ton of fun making a great gift. My friend made one of these candles as a Mother's Day gift and his mom was touched to tears by it! DIY Chunky Knit Blanket
My friend and I signed up for the chunky blanket class as part of a birthday gift and we had SUCH a wonderful time! Cara is an incredible teacher -- very patient, kind, and fun. You do not need any prior knitting / crocheting experience and the knitting with your fingers is not only fun, but it goes very quickly. By the end of the class, we were already about 1/4 completed with our blankets and weMy friend and I signed up for the chunky blanket class as part of a birthday gift and we had SUCH a wonderful time! Paper Marbling Art Class
Leah was very informative. She gave a brief history on paper marbling as an art form. She told us about two forms of paper marbling and the one we were doing: suminagashi. Sumingashi is the easiest as it only requires ink and water. She showed us examples of her paper marbling art. She is very creative. I like the venue as it breathed crafting & art. I like the materials provided as we used an example of good quality paper and copy paper. The copy paper can be used to practice and perfect your paper marbling skills. The price of the class was reasonable. It was a good value for the experience we had as we were able to make more than the planned pieces of suminagashi mabled paper. I purchased the class as a birthday gift for a friend. We both enjoyed the class. We learned how to do sumanigashi or Japanese ink paper marbling. I like how easy it was to create marbled pieces. I like how it doesn't require that many materials to continue doing it. I would definited do another class with Leah. I'm looking forward to doing arts/crafts classes through ClassBento. + more

This class was incredible! I bought the class as a surprise gift for my partner and we each made one knife each. Our instructor Arlene was so helpful, funny, inspiring, and had a great taste in music. The effort was somehow both easier and harder than expected (my arms are spaghetti), but the teacher was available to help if you were struggling. To be able to leave with a handmade knife was amazing!This class was incredible! I bought the class as a surprise gift for my partner and we each made one knife each. This class was great! I really enjoyed the instruction and tips from Jo. This is a fun way to craft a gift for yourself or someone else. The kit comes with a file and two wax rings. You can work out your design with the first ring and then have a second to make it better. Or make two rings (there would be an additional cost to have two rings cast. The course fee covers the cost of casting one silverThis class was great! I really enjoyed the instruction and tips from Jo. This is a fun way to craft a gift for yourself or someone else. The kit comes with a file and two wax rings. You can work out your design with the first ring and then have a second to make it better. Or make two rings (there would be an additional cost to have two rings cast. The course fee covers the cost of casting one silver ring. They also have a specific two ring course.). If you have other small tools around the house you can also use those to sculpt the ring. I happen to have some small files and clay carving tools and they worked for this ring project as well. I recommend watching their videos before you get into the class so that you have the basic idea of what you will be doing before you try to do it. I continued to work on my design after the class had ended and will now try to perfect it on the second wax ring before I return it to be cast. It was fun to see Pippi the cat make an appearance. I would recommend giving this a try and will probably do this again myself. + more

As I carefully pieced together the fragments of my broken plate, I found myself reflecting on my own life. Just like the plate, I have experienced my share of cracks and breaks. But rather than discarding these broken pieces, I learned to embrace them, to see them as part of my story.
As I carefully applied the gold lacquer, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility wash over me. The repetitive motion, the delicate touch, the focus on the present moment – it was all so meditative.

This was my first ClassBento and it was a great time for me and my youth (15 yr old). Moonshot Studio is located in downtown Noe Valley so parking may be a little tricky but we just parked a little further away and walked in. Our instructor (and owner) was Teresa and she was so sweet, enthusiastic, and informative. It look about 1.5 hours for us to complete our candle-making activity, which is a bit longer than the class was supposed to take but Teresa didn't rush us at all. Once completed, Teresa asked us to either return in 90 mins to pick upThis was my first ClassBento and it was a great time for me and my youth (15 yr old).
